The course aims to put maths into an active, practical context focusing on number, addition and multiplication. There will also be some activities and games based around interpreting and recording data, measurement and problem solving for Foundation up to upper KS2. The day will be based around a range of sporting concepts allowing teachers to see sport as an opportunity for children to apply knowledge in a physical way. The course will give teachers and senior leaders a wide range of fun, physical ideas to enhance learning within the maths curriculum and beyond

YOGA FOR SCHOOLS is an innovative exercise programme that combines the practical aspects of Yoga with relevant health facts about the body. Yoga differs from every other form of exercise for as well as exercising your body, you are also working on calming the mind. Nearly every child will report feeling happier and more contented after a session of Yoga as it enhances their health and well-being.

This course aims to provide teachers and PE leads with ideas and content to deliver high quality and varied OAA lessons. The course will focus on team building, communication skills and basic orienteering. As well as this the course aims to show teachers how orienteering and language skills can be used across the curriculum, especially in Maths and English.

The course presents ideas for lessons using games based around movement skills for 5–11 year olds and the basic principles of invasion games. The tutors show how differentiation and assessment for learning can be embedded in PE lessons and also give guidance to those teachers who might run a school team. The course is applicable for those who wish to build on their existing knowledge and those with little confidence of PE or football Candidates will gain a resource booklet and a recognised qualification on completion.
