All pupils taking part must be eligible for Grade 1 events. Teams to be made 6 pupils (boys or girls). If schools do not have 6 pupils who meet the criteria, they may still attend with as many pupils as possible. Those pupils shall be integrated into a team upon arrival. The format of the afternoon will be a training session followed by games. These will all take place on the artificial pitches so all participants must wear trainers and shin pads.

Rules
School can enter as many teams as they wish. A team consists of a minimum of 4 athletes and maximum of 6. Four races will be organised; Year 3/4 Boys; Year 3/4 Girls; Year 5/6 Boys; Year 5/6 Girls. The Courses are: Year 3/4 will run between 800 – 1000m Year 5/6 will run between 1200m – 2000m. A team’s position is calculated by adding together the position of the top four placed athletes in the team. The team with the lowest score wins. Schools will be asked to declare their runners and teams prior to the event, although minor changes due to absence, illness and injury can be made on the day.

Schools will be able to select a start/arrival time every 30 mins from 10am through to 5pm. Please allow approx 60 - 90 minutes for students to complete the introduction, practice and event course. Students compete as a pair. Boys and girls can compete in the same championships. There will be separate championships and courses for Year 7, 8 & 9 students. A school team consists of 3 ‘pairs’ in the same age group. A pair must be two students of the same year group. The top 3 ‘pairs’ from a school make a team. Schools can enter as many pairs as they wish. Students will be given full instructions on how to complete the course and an introduction to basic skills of map orientation. Students follow a map and visit controls in the correct order, recording their visit by using an electronic dibber. Time penalties will be given for any control missed. This event will be supported by Humberside & Lincolnshire Orienteers. The top three teams in each age group will qualify to represent North Lincolnshire at the Humber School Games on Friday 12th July 2019 at Hymers College, Hull HU3 1LW.

PRIMARY DEVELOPMENT FESTIVAL Year 3/4 Mega Fest (Rugby Union)

Schools will rotate activities throughout the morning, following the Mega Fest format. These will include Hare & Hounds; Tag Rugby; Ball Touch; Rugby Rounders; Statues; End Ball; Any Direction; Breakout Tag. The activities will be led, explained and demonstrated by student leaders. Tag Rugby games will be played in the afternoon. School can bring a maximum of 20 children, who will be divided into groups of 10 when moving around the activities. Please note this a festival where there are no positions at the end of the event as it is about the children experiencing different rugby based activities.

Rules
50 metre swimming heats will take place, starting with Year 7 and progress through to Year 8, 9 and 10. Swimmers may be placed in a heat with their own school as points are accumulated based on the time achieved not the placing. All swimmers will start in the water. After completing the swimming event, competitors will be asked to change and make their way to App Frod with their staff member(s). A 800m grass course will be marked out and again heats will start with Year 7 heats and progress through to Year 8, 9 and 10. Runners may be placed in a heat with their own school as points are accumulated based on the time achieved not the placing. All results will be inputted and final placings will be emailed out once the competition has been completed. Based on the number of entries, the top 3 teams ( a team is the best aggregate score for the swim and run of your 3 highest finishers in each age group) will also be calculated.

Rules
Swimming heats will take Year 4 and progress through Year 5,and 6, Swimmers may be placed in a heat with their own school as points are accumulated based on the time achieved not the placing. All swimmers will start in the water. After completing the swimming event, competitors will be asked to change and make their way to App Frod with their staff member(s). A 400m / 600m grass course will be marked out and again heats will start with Year 4 400m heats and progress through to Year 5 & 6. Runners may be placed in a heat with their own school as points are accumulated based on the time achieved not the placing. All results will be inputted and final placings will be emailed out once the competition has been completed. After the results have been emailed medals for the first 3 individuals in each age group will be awarded (Year 4 boys; Year 4 girls; Year 5 boys; Year 5 girls; Year 6 boys; Year 6 girls). Based on the number of entries, the top 3 teams ( a team is the best aggregate score for the swim and run of your 3 highest finishers in each age group) will also be awarded medals.
