The Axholme Academy held their annual KS2 Orienteering competition In march. Over
100 pupils descended on the Academy taking part in a mathematical treasure hunt. The
students worked in pairs or threes and were given a map in their groups, with each map
containing 15 different places to find. Once they orientated, they found different
numbers at each hiding place. Once they had finished, they needed to add up all of the
numbers and hand in the overall total. All students competed exceptionally well, with
the top three students highlighted in the table below!
